The Bassy Baker is a small home bakery in Ocala, Florida, owned and run by Caidance Bass — turning simple ingredients into things people photograph before they cut them.
How this started
Baking has been Caidance Bass's dream since she was little. Born in California and raised in Ocala from the age of twelve, she opened The Bassy Baker to do the thing she had always wanted to do properly — bake for the people around her, one order at a time.
We specialize in small-batch, made-to-order treats — vintage heart cakes, cake pops, hand-iced cookies — and we enjoy experimenting with classic recipes as much as playful new ideas. The art and the flavor matter equally here.
Everything that leaves our kitchen was made for one specific person and one specific day. We would rather take fewer orders and get every one of them right.
